Just back from Bali - what's next?We love to travel - the one thing that prevents us from travelling more is probably that we would need more money!Just returned from to weeks in Bali.Here are som trips we've done (and where we have taken some pictures):
Bali 2011A family trip for two weks over X-mas. Some diving too!
Oman 2011A dive trip i March. Not the best diving in the world but I managed to get a few reasonable pictures. I stayed in a baristi (Omani style hut) just outside Masqat and dove five days.
Maldives 2010We (Liselotte and Eric) went to Meeru Island in the North Malé Atoll for a week of relaxation without the kids! It was pure PARADISE!!! We have never been so spoiled with weather, beautiful beaches, a bungalow that was so perfectly positioned and good food. Best place I have ever been to, said Liselotte on the final day... The diving wasn't that great, but I got to see my mantas!!! See the pictures from Meeru Island Indonesia 2010 - a few pictures above between the dives!A trip alomst only for diving. I went to two diffrent places around Sulawezi, fist a few days in Bunaken (reef diving) and then - after being transported across the noth tip of Sulawezi - some days outside Lembeh. Marsa Alam 2009 - family's going back!Well, the family liked Egypt so we had to go back! This time we tried out Marsa Alam, and we went with another family from home. A week in september this time too...
Bahamas 2008 - no land in sight but sharks, sharks and more sharks!A special sharkexpedition in the Bahamian waters!!! In november we left for West Palm Beach in Florida from where the boat left. Then we spent a week without seeing any land, but alot of sharks instead :-). There were caribbean reefsharks, lemon sharks and tigersharks in abundance. No cage diving but several really close encounters - awsome meetings...
Paris with Sara 2008 - Saras' first real visit with dad!Yes, she went there as a baby, but this time alone with her dad she could really see Paris! We got to say hello to Michel and Genevève again and went for a nice dinner with Nathalie in town also...
Singapore and Malaysia 2008 - some work and a few hours to look around!Work got me to Singapore for three days and I stayed on for the weekend. The plan was to move a bit to Malaysia for some diving and photographing those marvellous creatures called nudibranchs...The result was beautiful memories and some pictures from Singapore, Malaysia and UW-pictures from diving at Tioman Island... South of France 2007 - a four-day weekend just for two!Liselotte and me finally got the chance to travel together again without kids! This time just for a few days in south of France. A few wonderful days around Cassis - and no diving...
Cairo 2007 - a stop on the way to a diving expedition in Sudan!On the way to Sudan for a diving expedition, I went for a stop in Cairo. Well, you have to do that both ways since Air Sudan (from/to Cairo to Potr Sudan) is not that reliable... Spent the day at Giza and in the Cairo Museum.
Then on to Sudan with my newly bought D-SLR camera system with its housing and two strobes. It was to be uch more difficult than "shooting" with the compact one... See the UW-pictures from Sudan
Hurghada 2006 - the family is going all together for the 1st time!The family wanted some sun before the hard fall and winter in Sweden so we wnt to Egypt allfour of us in september. We went to Hurghada since its fairly easy for a family. NAd I (of course) wanted some diving as well...
Egypt (Simply the best) 2006 - an awsome divingtrip in the Red Sea!Yet another great diving trip. Simply the best is a liveaboard that leaves from Port Ghalib (just noth of Marsa Alam and get to three famous diving spots; Elphinstone, Brothers and Daedalus...
Curacao 2004 - first trip without kids and some romance!In november Liselotte was surprised with her birthday gift - a week for two days later to Curacao (Caribbean). And a small wedding on the beach...
Sharm El Sheikh 2004 - a divingtrip with just a few pictures above water!Back to Egypt for diving! Mostly by daily trips but managed to get myself on a mini-cruise for three days to RAs Mohammed and the WWII-wreck Thistlegorm. Addicted to UW-photo, I had also bought my first "point and shoot" digital compact camera with its housing... See the UW-album of Thistlegorm
Sardinia 2003 - with a really little Sara to the sun!Three of us went to Alghero for a week in july, just for some bathing. Of course I checked to see if there could be any diving and guess what? I took my Carvern diving certification and explored som wonderful caves there.
Hurghada 2003 - my first real divingtrip!My firs divetrip on my own and first time to the Red Sea. Wow, this is diving! All diving was by daily trips from Magawish Beach and with Colona. I also tried out UW-photography for the first time when I rented a Motomarie with film. How would that be? I was really caught and later became addicted to it... A few pictures above water.
Paris 2002 - with Sara the baby!Just a weekend for three in the autumn. Liselotte and Sara meet Michel and Geneviève for the first time! We stayed at our loved Left Bank hotel and also went for a visit in Monet's garden...
Turkey 2002 - all five on a chartertrip!First trip with all 5 of us, Liselotte, Helène, Marko, a tint Sara and me. It was a week of sun and bath for all. One day I went diving and I brought Helène with me (no, she stayed on the boat)...
